Our Story
The Leap of Faith
It started with three college students in Austin, Texas who had a reputation for always going on the craziest side quests. Whether it was a spontaneous road trip to Guadalupe Peak on a random thursday or exploring the hidden caves in Austin before class, it was very obvious that we had a knack for the outdoors. As we approached the final years of college, we knew that that life of making incredible memories might be reaching an end... And then comes the summer of 2026. We asked the question: "Why does it have to end?" We knew how fruitful these experiences were for us and we knew so many other people who valued experiences outside just as much as we did. There was a community growing and we wanted to build something that acted as a movement encouraging more people to live a memorable life. If there was any time to do it, it was now. This was our leap of faith. This became Project Runaway. We booked a spontaneous trip to the Pacific Northwest and lived the very life we dreamed of and we wanted encourage everyone else to join. This is the start of the journey and we're excited to continue building this community and creating products that reflect that same love for the outdoors that started it all.
